Sport and exercise groups present an exciting opportunity to examine how our goal pursuit, identity, and commitment is linked to our group environment.

This research theme was evident from Dr. Evans’ initial PhD efforts examining individual sport teams - focusing on how forms of goal and task interdependence might determine the nature of the sport environment and the extent to which members are motivated to cooperate and support one-another.
